I genuinely enjoy tutoring students of all ages and ability levels. I consider my tutoring specialities to be test preparation and general study skills and, therefore, I feel as though I can not only help students learn any relevant course material, but also can help them figure out how to better learn and understand material on their own. I am the kind of tutor who shares tips and strategies to make every subject easier, but also challenges pupils to think about answers on their own and using what they already know- I don't just tell pupils the answers, I make sure they understand them. As a result, I've seen great improvements in all of my pupils on their standardized test scores and in-class performance, as well as on their general knowledge and study skills. But I also make sure that I keep things interesting, fun, and engaging by tailoring lessons to exactly what will best appeal to that pupil's strengths and personality. I would be able to provide references upon request to corroborate the above statements.
HobbiesIn high school, I was involved in Marching/Concert Band, Varsity Volleyball, Model UN, Youth and Government, and Mock Trial.
